Experience

Stacey Winakur Harris has been involved in family law for 12 years, first as Editor of the Maryland Family Law Monthly and then as an attorney in the Family Law department at Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander, LLC, before starting her own practice. 

She has researched and written about all aspects of family law, and has represented clients in litigation involving divorce, custody and visitation, child support, alimony, domestic violence, modification and enforcement of court orders, and contempt. She also has experience drafting separation and property settlement agreements and prenuptial agreements. She also offers mediation of all family law matters and has been trained in collaborative law.

In addition to her formal education, she regularly attends family law seminars presented by the Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.  She has attended the intensive American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Institute for Training Family Law Associates. She received her mediation training from Louise Phipps Senft at Baltimore Mediation and from the Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.

Personal Information

Stacey grew up in Pikesville and graduated from McDonogh School in 1986.  She now lives in Ellicott City with her husband and children.
